The Buriedbornes Steam release is here! This game is perfect if you’re looking for a hardcore, text-heavy dungeon crawler. It’s dark, gritty, and best of all fun.

“Are you ready for a deadly battle and ending this unprecedented disaster? The warfare for Buriedbornes.”

In Buriedbornes, in typical RPG fashion—you’ll choose a job, and challenge a dungeon. There’s plenty of equipment to collect, skills, and a range of “terrible” enemies to defeat.

The game takes strong inspiration from Dark Souls and Bloodborne with the aesthetic and enemy design. It also has a similar progression system to Dark Souls with “Soulstones”.

What’s really cool about this game is if you die, you restart with a new character—and you might need to take on your old character as a “Roaming Dead”.

So, what are you waiting for? Create your Hero, choose a room, dungeon, and fight onward! The game is mostly text-based, with strong lore.

You can also leave/receive messages from other players, by leaving them inside corpses to find! To progress through the game, you go through floors by defeating the floor boss.

On top of that, the user interface is simple and easy to use. You can easily play on the go, and there aren’t a dozen buttons you have to click. It features old-school, turn-based JRPG-like combat.

If you wanted a new interactive novel RPG to take on the go or play at home—this is the game for you. It reminds us of the recently released, Heroes Of Book & Paper which is also worth checking out.
