If you’re looking for a new horror visual novel to jump into, we recommend The Night of the Exorcism. It’s an indie-developed and written short horror with multiple endings.

It’s a 2000-word visual novel, written using the Ink scripting language by Ludomancer. The story follows a local priest who is called out to exorcise a young woman.

As the priest, you’ll have to find out which demon is possessing the woman through different dialogue-based choices. Depending on the choices you make—there are three different endings.

The Night of the Exorcism features original artwork by Pedro Pereira, and is available in English and Portuguese. The visual novel also has music and sound effects by Imphenzia.

The visual novel is playable for free on Itch.io, with versions supporting Windows, Linux, Mac, and in-browser play. The novel was also submitted to Itch.io’s Panic Horror Jam, which is open for voting.
