The Reddit user /u/KeiKube has released his first interactive fiction game, the House Of Loki novel. It’s available to play for free online, and is made with the Twine authoring tool.

Check out the in-game user interface.

“When fate comes knocking with a hammer and sword, will you be able to break the chains of destiny?”

You can play the House Of Loki novel on Itch.IO. The writer is a first-time author, looking for feedback on the novel.

One of their main goals was “to feature contextual dialogue and branching paths based on player decisions made throughout the game.” Not just at obvious branching moments.

The novel is based on the Eddas of Norse Mythology prose and prophecies. If you’re a huge fan of Vikings, or coming off God of War, this is the perfect novel to jump into.

This novel’s art and writing were done by Reddit user /u/KeiKube, Alex Kubodera. If there’s enough interest in the project, they’ll release Part 2.

If you’re into fantasy-themed interactive fiction novels—we recommend checking out the newly released Arcadie: Second-Born. It just released on Steam/PC platforms.
