The Spring Thing 2025 entries are now live! Spring Thing (Autumnal Jumble for people in the Southern Hemisphere) is one of the largest annual interactive fiction competitions.
There are over 30 Spring Thing 2025 Entries!
There are 28 entries submitted and live for the main festival event, which is for writers to launch their new and completed interactive fiction titles.
The other two categories are the Backgarden, which is for excerpts for unreleased games and/or experimental, which received 5 entries, and New Game Plus, which received 1 entry.
New Game Plus is for any games that have been previously released/published that have received significant updates or overhauls.

If you missed out on this year’s Spring Thing, the competition will be back next year in March. There’s also the Interactive Fiction Competition (IFComp), which will be opening for entry registration on July 1st.
